In addition to annual giving and planned giving opportunities, the Foundation hosts two community events during the year to support special projects and the needs for Floyd Valley Healthcare.
Floyd Valley Foundation Golf Tournament
The 22nd Annual Helping Children Benefit Golf Tournament was held on Tuesday, June 11, 2019 at Willow Creek Golf Course in Le Mars, IA. The event was sponsored by the Floyd Valley Foundation and chaired by Shane and Peggy Sitzmann of Le Mars.
Winners of the 18-hole championship flight were B’s Team, with a score of 56. Team members were Craig Bauerly, Dave Miller, Al Pottebaum, and Matt Sitzmann,
With business sponsorships and team contributions, the golf benefit grossed over $24,000! The net proceeds will be used towards the purchase of pediatric speech assistive equipment and a future nursery renovation and re-location project. A record 48 teams participated in the event this year, which included 192 golfers.
Hole and door prizes were once again generously donated by area businesses. Lunch for the golfers was provided by Hy Vee Catering of Le Mars, Well’s Enterprises, and the Floyd Valley Dietary Department.
“On behalf of everyone at Floyd Valley Healthcare I would like to thank our co-chairs Shane and Peggy Sitzmann and the golf tourney committee, for their continued support of Floyd Valley. The Helping Children Benefit continues to exceed our expectations because of the generous support of our entire community. The dollars will be utilized to enhance our services and support our mission of keeping healthcare local.” Dustin Wright CEO.
Floyd Valley Foundation - Fall Event: November 9, 2019
We are grateful to our donors in helping make this year's fall event a huge success. With around 300 guests in attendance, Floyd Valley Foundation’s annual craft beer and wine tasting fundraiser is one of the most successful each year. Thank you to all our sponsors, staff and friends whose support of the event raised over $55,000 for the hospital. Proceeds will benefit the purchase of a 3D mammography imaging system.
Two additions were made to the event this year. The Foundation hosted a live auction on KLEM where the high bidder won use of a special VIP lounge, that included personal service and luxury seating (pictured above). The Foundation also debuted an inspiring video tribute to two local breast cancer survivors, Tami Schoeder and Wanda Delperdang.
